Paul Dante has been composing and performing original music for 20 years. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in the late 60s. His road to musical well being was paved early in his life by loving parents who exposed him to The Beatles and Dylan while still an infant. By 15, he set out to "The Village" and Folk City, the stage Dylan once graced, and managed to secure gigs there although he was not of legal drinking age. Among the last acts to play there before it closed, he shared billing with David Massengill and other top folk acts.

Paul played backup for many great folk & anti-folk acts of the day like Jay Byrd, Mike Mchugh & Bob Gulino. He also played bass for The Folk Brothers with Anti-folk pioneers Lach & Kirk Kelly.

Paul was lead singer / guitarist for the Staten Island Supergroup AARRRGH through the mid - late 80s. After AARRRGHs breakup, Dante fathered various musical projects around New York (The PoUND / Visitor) before becoming a total recluse...producing demos and music videos for many artists.

His music has been heard on WBAI in N.Y., WSIA in Staten Island, and various college stations worldwide. He has appeared on C.B.S.News, Uncle Floyd, Anti-Television, Kidsworld and several cable T.V. programs.

In November, Concrete Wave TV, a show dedicated to xtreme sport, will feature music by Paul. It is shown around the world on top sports channels.

Paul has also been involved in many video projects during the early 90s. In 1991 he and good friend Mike DiIorio launched what at the time seemed a daring project... a cable public access show about SOMETHING!

What started as something started to become everything...ANTI-TELEVISION was born...music videos, short crazy films, cartoons, ramblings, scary images, family photos, etc.... but then, CELEBRITIES started POURING IN!!! Buster Poindexter, They Might Be Giants, Quentin Crisp, Dr. Ruth, Bill Shatner, Ken Kesey, Steve Tyler, Jackie Chan, everyone wanted to give interviews and plugs to this new show with the catchy name....

As Mike D. pushed the show to new heights every season with more and more groundbreaking TV content, Paul supplied animations, videos, whatever he could. Dante then wrote the theme song ....“ANTI-TELEVISION SONG”

Also, Paul made several short video films and music videos for himself and fellow musicians. He wrote and directed “SUGAR-RUSH” a strange tale described as a cross between The Shining, Reefer Madness, and Plan 9 from Outer-space.

Paul then began editing videos professionally. Working in News, commercials, t.v. and some film projects.

He lives in Canada now ..... "Learning lots of Neil Young songs as well as basic hockey rules."

Paul joined the super-post-jug band, GCDC in 2006..and keeps working on his follow-up to TRAUMAPOP...
